FabCafe Bangkok intends to be a friendly platform for people of different ages and background to come in and ‘fab’ their own thing using cutting edge technology that was previously limited to research purposes, academic or industrial use. Now fabrication machinery, including 2D laser cutters, 3D printers, a 3D scanner, and an automatic sewing machine will be available for users in a lively environment of a café that serves one of Bangkok’s best coffee and baked goods.
FabCafe first opened in Shibuya, Tokyo in March 2012 by Loftwork Inc, a company with a creative network. In Thailand, the founders are Kalaya Kovidvisith, Chutayaves Sinthuphan, Samustpon Tanapant. They taught Architecture, and have been passionate about having a hub for creative minds where a network of ‘fab’ enthusiasts can be established.Bangkok will be the 5th FabCafe globally.
