Did you know, second to oil, the clothing and textile industry is the largest polluter in the world?
One way that we, as consumers, can make a difference is by extending the life of our clothes! Through swapping events, we can reduce our impact on the environment and save money.
If you have any unwanted clothing, accessories or books, join us at FabCafe MTRL (2F) on Saturday, November 9th for an afternoon of swapping and networking with local people who are passionate about sustainability.
For this Free Flea Market, we are working in collaboration with Stasia from InKimono who held a successful clothing swap in August!
Everyone is welcome, whether you have items to donate or not.
If you have items to donate, please arrive between 12PM-1PM. From 1PM-2PM, you will have first dibs on the swap items available!
From 2PM to 4PM, the swap shop and remaining items will be open for visitors to pick from! There will be also be an opportunity to network and share your experiences and tips related to sustainability and fashion. Feel free to get a cup of coffee downstairs and join the conversation!
