This hands-on workshop invites you to dive into perspectives on AI, creativity, and interaction design, guided by Leonardo Angelucci. You’ll prototype small-scale interaction-based projects using AI tools and explore how emerging technologies shape our relationship with machines.

Together, we’ll examine the intersection of design × technology × artificial intelligence, and create playful, interactive experiences—like unlocking a computer with a pose, triggering music with body movements, or controlling Netflix with posture. These ideas will be turned into real prototypes using your own laptop and easy-to-use web tools.

No prior experience in programming or machine learning is required. The workshop is designed for anyone interested in creatively applying AI in their work—whether you’re a designer, artist, maker, or just curious. You’ll leave with new insights and ideas that can inspire future projects.

Let’s experience firsthand how AI is shaping our decisions, expressions, and creative processes—and think together about what this means for the future.

The workshop will be led by Leonardo Angelucci, designer and founder of Zurich-based studio unstated.co, along with the experimental design and digital art collective Curling Computer Club.

Both groups are featured in the upcoming exhibition “Synthetic Interactions”, held at Swissnex Osaka from April 9 – May 6 2025. Through interactive installations, they will showcase experimental approaches to creatively using AI. The exhibition will be introduced in the opening talk of the workshop, so if you’re interested, we recommend visiting the show as well.
