Fukushima learning journey 2026 in Iitate village

ZUTTO SOKO Co., Ltd., the operator of FabCafe Fukushima, has organized a three-day, two-night tour in collaboration with the Fukushima Learning Journey Executive Committee. The journey takes participants across the landscapes of Iitate Village. From ZUTTO SOKO, an experimental base for dialogue with the environment, the route runs through sites for radiation monitoring and wagyu farming, a planetary observatory that gazes at space from Iitate, the wolf faith and the legend of Mount Toratori, and on to the Nagadoro district, a Specified Reconstruction and Revitalization Base Area where the recycling of removed soil is underway. Bob Stilger and Susan Virnig, who have facilitated dialogue across the disaster-affected region since 2011, travel with the group throughout. Drawing on Fukushima's lived experience, the program offers a rare opportunity for dialogue about the future.
