COVID-19 has abruptly spread across the world, changing our lives in the blink of an eye. As a result of this, we have had to refrain from going out and keep our social distance from others. Moreover, where masks have become a sudden need for everyone, a mask shortage has become a social problem, resulting in a price jump as the demand increases. Now that masks are becoming a necessity to all, how do we adapt and reflect on our changing lifestyle?
FabCafe Global held a Mask Design Challenge to explore the possibilities of the “masks of the future”. We solicited ideas for new masks from creators around the world, where we received more than 220 original ideas from 24 countries around the world.
At this live online event, we will introduce the selected four winners. We will also present a “mask of the future” prototype produced by Shirohato Corporation.
