In this age of overflowing goods, how can we create products that will be needed and loved for a long time to come? And how do we deal with the complex social issues that are inseparable from our production activities?
We believe that hints can be found by unraveling the “Democratic experiment(s)” that is the theme of YouFab 2021.
At this event, we will be inviting Akira Ikenouchi of Panasonic, one of YouFab 2021’s partners and one of Japan’s leading manufacturing companies, and Ariane Koek, an international expert and pioneer in the fields of art, science and technology, and artist residency, who is a member of the jury for the prize. The theme of YouFab 2021, “Democratic experiment(s),” will be unraveled from the perspective of the thoughts and processes of making things for the future.
