For the third consecutive year, Loftwork Inc. and creative community hub FabCafe Global carry forward the crQlr Awards, a global annual award that gathers projects and ideas that seek to design a circular economy. Expanding globally with each edition, this year the crQlr Awards attracted 140 submissions from a record-breaking 43 countries.
The crQlr Summit will dive into the unique opportunities, insights, and stories from “unexpected collaborations” of this year’s Special Prize-winning projects. We will welcome distinguished guest speakers such as Guillaume Charny-Brunet from SPACE10 and Anni Korkman from Helsinki Design Week, alongside winners such as Yuichi Tomohiro of Sea Vegetable Co., a recent collaborator of renowned restaurant noma in Kyoto.

Guillaume Charny-Brunet
SPACE 10 Co-founder & Director of Strategy
Guillaume Charny-Brunet is a French national who has spent the past 15 years helping large organizations to anticipate change and develop new solutions. From Paris, NYC, and now Copenhagen where he co-founded SPACE10 in 2015. SPACE10 is a research and design lab on a mission to create a better everyday life for people and planet. As Director of Strategy & Development Guillaume operates at the crossroad of design, business & sustainability, working close to IKEA, and with a broad network for talents around the world. He also serves as an Advisory Board member for the Distributed Design Platform.

Anni Korkman
Programme Director of Helsinki Design Week & Weekly, Fiskars Village Art & Design Biennale, Luovi Productions Ltd
Anni Korkman (she/her, b. 1990) works as the Programme Director of Luovi Productions.
Luovi Productions is a design agency whose core expertise lies in curation, production and communication. Founded in 1995 by Anni Korkman’s father Kari Korkman, Luovi Productions is a Helsinki-based company operating globally. Best known as the producer of the largest design festival in the Nordics, Helsinki Design Week and the independent design media Helsinki Design Weekly, Luovi is also the founder and the facilitator behind Fiskars Village Art & Design Biennale and several other cultural projects.Anni has a Master’s Degree from Central Saint Martins University (University of the Arts London) and as a writer, debater and curator, she is passionate about working with adding Design and Architecture Literacy into peoples’ everyday lives. The more we are able to recognize design around us, the more critical to our surroundings we can become – and eventually demand for better physical and digital living environments.

Aining Ouyang
REnato lab CEO
Aining Ouyang is the CEO of REnato lab. She joined the team in 2016 and has been dedicated to helping businesses achieve resource circulation and carbon reduction. Aining is one of the primary authors of “Circular Design Guidebook for the Electronic, Electrical and Appliance Industries” (2020) and “Circular Economy Guidebook for Manufacturing”(2023). Through her curatorial expertise, Aining has organized multiple exhibitions promoting circular economy and zero waste knowledge. In 2021, she received the New Taipei City Women’s Award and was named a Generation T awardee by Tatler Asia. In 2023, she launched “Circular On-site”, a new program that helps businesses build sustainable and circular practices through skill development.

Multidisciplinary artist and material designer
Eleonora is a multidisciplinary artist based in London. Specialised in material futures through her studies at Central Saint Martins, she is interested in using food as a central medium to explore pressing societal and global issues. Collaborating with a diverse array of experts, including scientists, technologists and chefs, she transcends traditional artistic boundaries, blurring the lines between art, science, technology, and cuisine. Her work challenges conventional thinking and provide fresh perspectives on contemporary challenges

REWOOD Forest Cycle - Charcoal Pot Artist
In 2021, an experiment by the Taiwan Forestry Research Institute demonstrated that the “Rewood Charcoal Bonsai” stabilizes the temperature and humidity of the surrounding environment and emits about three times more negative ions than usual. “Rewood Charcoal Bonsai” was further selected for the 2022 Taiwan Golden Pin Design Award and has obtained the patent number M629331 for practical new inventions in the Republic of China (Taiwan).
Since 2022, Hui-Ting Hsieh has been engaged in individual creation and has produced over 3,000 different charcoal bonsai series works.

Yuichi Tomohiro
Co-CEO of Sea Vegetable LLC
After graduating from university, Yuichi Tomohiro embarked on a journey to visit over 70 agricultural, mountainous, and fishing villages across Japan. Following the Great East Japan Earthquake, he collaborated with female fishermen on Oshika Peninsula in Ishinomaki City, Miyagi Prefecture, to launch businesses such as bento shops and accessory brands. In 2016, along with co-representative Jun Hataya, Yuichi founded Sea Vegetable Co., Ltdto address declining “suji aonori” (thin-sheeted nori) harvests by pioneering land-based nori cultivation with underground seawater. Currently, they grow fragrant, high-quality nori alongside individuals with disabilities and the elderly, and their newest venture aims to cultivate seaweed on the sea surface to replenish oceans depleted by coastal erosion. With dives across Japan, Sea Vegetable actively studies seaweed conditions to foster a new culture around seaweed consumption.
