A UNIQUE DESIGN JOURNEY AND DIALOGUE

The designer will share and summarize his 5 year story in the Design Concept, Acoustic Design, Dealing with various factories in Shenzhen, China (metal molding, mechanical drawings, welding, polishing, anodizing, laser engraving, packaging, sales) and future Collaborations with Artists.

PROFILE

Tony Tam (DELTA BLUES AUDIO)

Tony Tam is a well experienced Executive in Private Equity and Debt Capital Markets*, this Audio project has been his DREAM PROJECT, after being a passionate Hi Fi, Blues and Jazz Fan for years. In fact his practical knowledge in Design was earned by years of dealing with various designers and electronics manufacturers. His debut design, NX-1 , won the A&D Trophy Awards 2015 for Professional Product Design. It has been featured in various Design and Architecture magazines. He will continue to design new models which are based on the same vector, horns design methods using the combination of aluminum and wood.
*Worked as Bond Trader for Kankaku Securities, DKB Asia Limited, Credit Commercial de France – Tokyo Branch during 1989 – 1993.

DELTA BLUES AUDIO

CORPORATE MISSION
The Corporate Mission of DELTA BLUES AUDIO is to harness the innate material resonance in various materials so as to creat a Natural Sound speaker. The basic design and construction is based on a metallic conical base woofer and a 180 degree flat horn in either aluminum, fiber glass and wood. All parts are hand–welded, polished, anodized and individually tuned. Innovative ideas are used with the combination of traditional metal spinning and wood turning process.

BACKGROUND
Inspired by the special “metallic and crystal clear sound” coming from a Blues Resonator guitar, this 5 year project finally saw the launch of NX-2 : an unique Stereo Sound System suitable for home, lounge, study room or as studio monitors. The following pictures are chronicled to illustrate the development of this well-acclaimed product.
Special attentions were drawn to make a “Natural Sound” speaker with an all innovative resonance disc. Hi frequencies have never before been more faithfully and accurately reproduced.
