開催主旨 / About

衣服を直したことをあえて見せて直す修繕方法ビジブル・メンディング（見せる修繕）。「ミンナでフクをツクロウ」は、そんな創造的で遊び心溢れる繕い方を学ぶ実践的なワークショップです。修繕に使える裁縫スキルの習得や、実際に自分の服直すことを通して「直すこと」が秘める創造性、忍耐力、また人とモノの絆を遊び心を持って探求します。

物質的にも社会的にも大切な営みである修繕。モノを大切に使い続け、廃棄を減らすために身近で効果的なアクションです。また、異なる人々が共に修繕することで技術や知識を共有し思いやりや創造性を育みます。そして、修理した経験の一つ一つが自信や好奇心に繋がります。

本ワークショップには、ぜひご自身の穴の開いたジーンズ、破れたリュックサック、汚れたセーターなど、修理が必要なアイテムを持ってご参加ください。（＊お持ちでなくても参加可能です。）


Making Mends is a workshop dedicated to the practice of visible mending, a technique for repairing damaged or worn-out clothes. Throughout the workshop, we will practice various mending techniques and playfully explore broader meanings of mending and repair as acts of resilience, creative expression, and long-lasting connections between people and their belongings.

Mending is both a material and a social practice. It is an accessible and impactful way to hold on to valuable items and reduce waste. Mending together also creates fertile grounds to share skills and knowledge, spark care, joy and creativity, and even ignite a sense of pride with every successful, durable repair.

Participants are encouraged to bring their own personal items needing repair, such as a pair of jeans with holes, a backpack with rips, or a stained sweater. But even without, there are plenty of ways to engage in Making Mends!

　14:30-17:30 ワークショップ：「日常的な実践としての修理」について考えるクリエイティブな演習に取り組んだり、縫製を練習した後、参加者ご自身の服やカバンを直します。

In this three-hour workshop, we will explore various repair-related activities, including practising sewing and visible mending techniques to fix a personal item, and engaging in creative exercises to reflect on repair as a daily practice.

When bringing a personal item to mend:
We encourage Making Mends participants to bring a personal item to repair, with damage such as holes, rips and stains.

– toys made of fabric material
