Exhibition: 1.54 Million Nanometers of DSSC

The exhibited works will be based on dye-sensitized solar cell (DSSC) technology.Currently, the most advanced semiconductor manufacturing process is at 2 nanometers, but the unique name "1,540,000 nanometers" reflects the concept symbolized by the spirit of DIY. This exhibition is a site-specific project inspired by the concept of "off-grid," integrating the artist's experience in creating dye-sensitized solar cells (DSSC) using plant-based dyes with new works.

BIO-MOON LAB talk with Laura Benneton x BioClub Tokyo

Bio-Moon Lab, created by Multidisciplinary Contemporary Artist, Laura Benetton, is an innovative interdisciplinary project that fuses art, sustainability, and scientific inquiry through the exploration of bioluminescence. By cultivating Vibrio Fischeri bacteria in petri dishes and liquid solutions, the project aims to develop “Bio-light” as a sustainable alternative to conventional artificial lighting in contemporary art.In collaboration with BioClub Tokyo, FabCafe is hosting a lecture and exhibition tour alongside Laura Benetton. Join us to hear a deeper discussion on her award-winning project, BIO-MOON Lab and visit her exhibition.
