Designing New Coffee Experiences Connecting Online

How would our enjoyment of coffee change if we could customize the world’s unique coffee beans to our own taste?

Mikafi is a roasting platform that democratizes the coffee roasting cycle by connecting farmers, local businesses, and nature through technology. Mikafi has a roasting platform that connects farmers, local businesses, and nature with technology to democratize the coffee roasting cycle, and is equipped with a fully automated IoT that allows store owners and consumers to personalize coffee according to their needs using Mikafi’s smart roasting machine.

This project introduces the coffee roasting platform and smart roaster from Mikafi, a Swiss company that is coming to Kyoto for the first time. In this event, four types of coffee beans of different refining methods will be roasted at different roasting values using Mikafi’s smart roasting machine, and visitors will be able to experience the differences in character and changes in roasting due to the different refining methods through tasting, which is called cupping.

Please take this opportunity to experience the diverse personalities of coffee, the ethical distribution system, and the design of new experiences connected online!
